Do you know someone that won’t stop worrying about things they can’t change?
.
The following tips may help:
.
1. Manage your stress. Studies have shown that an exercise session as short as 20 minutes, meditation, and increased sleep can generate a relaxation response/improved mood/calmness for up to two hours.
.
2. Problem solve don’t ruminate. Actively solving a problem, such as trying to find ways to increase your chances of success, is productive. Imagining catastrophic outcomes over and over again is not helpful.
.
3. Focus on your influence. You can influence people and circumstances, but you can’t force things to go your way. So focus on your behaviour, don’t try to fix people who don’t want to be fixed.
.
4. Determine what you can control. You can’t prevent a storm from coming, but you can prepare for it. You can’t control how someone else behaves, but you can control how you react. When you put your energy into the things you can control, you’ll be much more effective.
.
Make it a great day!
