Amanda Stewart, Yoga Instructor
Amanda has always been fascinated by all the intricate layers of the physical body, which lead her to embark on the practice of yoga and massage therapy education in 2000. Amanda’s yoga practice has evolved to allow her to become aware of more than just the muscular system but also how the mind and spirit are integrated into the entire practice. Amanda teaches from a position of physical alignment of the body, awareness of the breath, and always with a great sense of humour. “I wholeheartedly believe that without breath there is no practice and continue to ask for softness, not tension, on and off the mat for myself and my students”. Amanda has had excellent training with top teachers in the field: Jeff Mah, Kevin Elander, and Danielle Pechie. Amanda completed her instructor training with Hart Lazer and stays current on techniques by taking his workshops. Amanda’s classes involve a blend of many yoga techniques and are always geared towards having her students achieve their goals!
